The Smith and Wesson CKSUR2 Search and Rescue Clip Point knife is very similar to the Tanto blade model we tested a while back. So, I decided to have a “Throw Off” to see which one did better at the balance test. Unfortunately, things went really wrong and only one knife survived.

  1. It broke because he threw it over and over against a tree. Why does that make it junk? I threw my Glock against a tree to kill a snake at the range because I left the clip on the shooting table and went down range unloaded. And guess what, it broke.

  2. Any knife can break, especially when thrown. On a different note, you have gotten that fero rod technique down. You have really gotten good striking the fero rod, even the smaller ones. I did miss the ole Fatwood though. You have had that piece of fatwood forever it seems like. A little goes a long way. Thanks Bryan, and don’t change a thing.
